The Learning & Teaching Hub
The Learning & Teaching Hub (L&T Hub) features a range of support resources, tools and a library of showcase entries featuring UOW teaching staff sharing their practices.
Start of session resources
Staff preparing for start of session are encouraged to visit the following resources:
Learning and teaching specialists within the Educational Excellence unit (Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education portfolio) will deliver a program of professional learning in Q1 2026, including scheduled drop-in sessions, one-on-one consultations and workshops supporting L&T preparations for Trimester 1 & Autumn teaching sessions.
These sessions will address staff-identified priorities from survey feedback and will also include workshops related to generative AI.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program
In accord with the Continuing Professional Development (Learning and Teaching) Policy, evidence of CPD (L&T) accreditation (level 1) is a requirement for Probation for all academic teaching staff. Portfolios should be emailed to cpd-support@uow.edu.au during a review round that take into account upcoming probation or promotion timelines accordingly.
Information about the portfolio submission rounds and process is available on the Accreditation for Learning and Teaching (CPD Portfolio) intranet page. Guidance is available in the CPD Portfolio Moodle site, including clarification of portfolio requirements and exemplars.
Peer Review of Teaching
Information about UOW’s Peer Review program can be found on the Peer review site.
All Accredited Peer Reviewer self-nomination forms and completed peer reviews can be sent to: educational-excellence@uow.edu.au
Career Development Learning
